Coy began his journey in the dental industry in the early 1980s, where father, Dr. Daryl Habich, DDS, trained him to handle his laboratory needs. He became proficient with orthodontic appliances, and building temporaries and doing gold work. Between 1983 and 1985, Coy attended Dr. Skip Truitts seminars. He completed 1-8 in the series. When Dr. Habich joined the #2 Redmond, WA in Dr. Richard V. Tucker Study Club in the early 80’s, Coy attended meetings with his father, where he learned from some of the best operators and earned constructive critiques from Dr. Tucker himself. Coy’s work began to be noticed at local and annual meetings. Eventually, Coy began to fabricate gold crowns for other Tucker Institute members, and thus Cast Gold Restorations, Inc. was born.

Coy has been serving the finest dentists across the country and globe for the past 25 years. He is well known for his attention to detail, passion for quality, and consistently striving for excellence.

Since beginning in the dental industry, Coy has constantly reinforced his skills by continuing his education. After starting his business, he has completed the Class 1 Occlusal Morphology Course offered by Russell T. Devreugd, CDT.

Beyond serving others by his excellence in the industry, he is invested in sharing his knowledge with both doctors and laboratory technicians. In 1996, Coy lectured at the International Education Day on behalf of Jensen Industries. Additionally, he has served at multiple annual meetings, some being 1995 Saluzzo, Italy, 2000 Victoria, Canada and 2006 Munster, Germany. He has also done a number of study clubs at the Indianapolis Study Club, #20 since 1992. His more prominent work has been his service with the R.V Tucker Institute Course held at the University of Washington, providing laboratory support to aid in continuing education for doctors across the country.

On a personal note, Coy married his beautiful bride, Kimberly, in 1991. The two moved to Eastern Washington. They have four children, Austin, Hailey, Hayden and Wyatt. When Coy is not in the office, he is either coaching his kids in football, basketball or wrestling, or is active on the Columbia River, slalom skiing, wakeboarding, barefoot skiing, or riding the air chair.
